Eligibility

  1. Students of Classes 6th, 7th , 8th & 9th are eligible to participate for Academic year 2021-22.
  2. Teams can include(s) a minimum of one (1) student and maximum of four (4) students from the same school OR different schools.
  3. All members of team should belong to same grade of class.
  4. Each team must have access to at least one (1) Desktop/laptop with good internet connectivity.

Entry Period

How to Enter

  1. Each team must appoint a member as SPOC (Single Point of Contact) and decide a team name.
  2. The SPOC must complete the registration process.
  3. Upon successful registration, the access to the contest resources will be provided to all the team members, in their individual course player.
  4. Each SPOC must submit their team’s submission(s) at the provided link with the same email ID that was used for registration.
  5. Each student may only be a member of multiple teams, of his/her same class

Each student/team can make multiple project entries, but they will have to register a new team for every new entry.

Entry Requirements

Entry must meet the following criteria:
    1. Project Platform – 1. Project Platform – www.makecode.microbit.org for senior classes.
    2. Project theme – Sustainable Development Goals – 3, 6, 7,11 There should a Problem statement under the SDG Goal selected by the participating team and Solution suggested in Indian kind of scenario. Ref. THE 17 GOALS | Sustainable Development (un.org)
    1. Project Submission – A folder with/should
      • Be named after a Team Name
      • A Video File that includes:
        1. Project Recording of the project (maximum length 2 minutes).
        2. Brief description of the team’s project including how it solves for a global sustainability issue and which UN Sustainable Development Goals it is related to within the video as a voice-over.
        3. The Problem Statement and the Solution suggested in Indian context.
        4. What the team learned as part of their involvement..
      • Synopsis of maximum 200 words in a document file (.docx) along with the block code image and subsequent Source Code (Python).
      • .hex file of project
    2. Must be an original work of the student/team.
    3. May only contain content, for which you have, all required consents and approvals
    4. Cannot contain, as determined by Edufiq, content that is sexually explicit, violent, derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, which violates any law, or which communicates a message inconsistent with the positive good will to which we wish to associate.
    5. Must be a follower of Edufiq on Instagram/FB (any social media that is finalized)
    6. By submitting an entry, you represent that:
      • You are the creator of the submission
      • You own all rights to the submission
      • The submission does not infringe upon or violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

Judging Criteria

Winner Selection

All entries will be judged by the individual contest’s committed jury. The odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received and the quality of the entries.

This is a 2 stage competition:
Elimination Round 1: Entries will be screened basis the Videos submitted and winner from each class will be announced to compete at the National Level.


National Level: The participants of the National Level will have to present before the Jury through online video call, their entire project and answer questions posted by the Jury.

Every one is a WINNER: We are looking for innovators and creators for the future. Hence we look at gratifying each and every problem solver who participate in innovating for the future. Winners will be categorised in four categories:

  1. Genius
  2. Champions
  3. Challengers
  4. Innovators

Winners receive Gifts, Certificates and Scholarships worth 50 Lakhs.
The decision of Edufiq, as applicable, shall be final and legally binding as it pertains to this Contest. The winning entry will be announced on official Social media pages and website of Edufiq.

Rights to entry

By submitting an entry, you:

  1. Irrevocably grant Edufiq and its partners, license, and unconditional/perpetual right and permission to copy, publish, post, and adapt, your work for any social media outreach throughout the world without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party.
  2. Entrants will always be credited with their Instagram name and link to Instagram/Fb (or the decided social media) profile.
  3. Agree not to instigate, support, maintain, or authorize any action, claim, or lawsuit against Edufiq and/or the Sponsor on the grounds that any use of the entry, or any derivative works, infringes any of your rights as creator of the entry, including, without limitation, copyrights, trademark rights, and moral rights.

Conduct

By participating in Edufiq contests, each entrant agrees to abide by these General Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, Edufiq and Judges, which are final and legally binding as they pertain to the contests. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or the web site or to be acting in violation of the General Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to lock out an entrant whose eligibility is in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to enter.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY ADMINISTRATOR’S SITE OR ANY THIRD-PARTY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE; SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND/OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
